The honing is to use one or more oil stones installed on the circumference of the honing head, and the oil blast is opened in the radial direction by the expansion mechanism (both rotary and propulsion), so that it is pressed against the wall of the workpiece hole to generate a certain Face contact. At the same time, the honing head is rotated and reciprocated, and the parts are not moved; or the honing head is only rotated, and the workpiece reciprocates to achieve honing.

The operation requirements of CNC honing machine:
1. Check the lubrication part of the honing machine, especially the gearbox, to see if there is any lubricating oil;
2. Check if the coolant is clean;
3. After starting the machine, idle for a period of time to discharge the air in the hydraulic line and check whether the work of each part is normal;
4. The temperature of the hydraulic oil used in machine tools is generally not allowed to exceed 60 °C, and the maximum temperature should not exceed 65 °C. Otherwise, cooling measures should be taken or stopped.
